POSITION SUMMARY
To procure, organize and maintain inventory while controlling budget and meeting all needs of the department. Schedules will fluctuate depending on the department needs.
This position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Sanitation of the storeroom and walk in refrigeration; rotating inventory daily; organization of storage areas; assist in other kitchen areas as assigned and needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Formal Education / Training:
High school education, GED or Equivalent Work Experience.
Must have the ability to understand and follow basic verbal communications and \ or written instructions in English
Workplace Experience:
None required. Food Service experience preferred.
Equipment and Skills Training:
Calculator, telephone, computer.
Physical Environment:
Kitchen, storage areas, coolers, freezers.
Physical Effort:
Prolonged standing, stooping, able to lift up to 50#. Able to withstand extreme temperatures. Able to comprehend written and oral communication.
Able to keep up in a fast paced environment.
KEY RESULTS
1. Manage, organize and maintain sheets to shelves ordering system.
2. Follow task list for the schedule assigned to include Checking off and put up supplies from truck deliveries timely to ensure food freshness
3. Communicate with vendors developing a positive working relationship.
4. Maintain organization of storage areas, coolers and freezer daily in a sanitary and orderly manner using first in first out method daily. Reports inventory unaccounted for immediately to management.
5. Assist in production as directed and Scheduled. Prep for Retail Production Cook as assigned.
6. Responsible for determining orders for par level, inventory needs and menu items for each truck.
7. Enter Food Orders into the ordering system for truck deliveries.
8. Maintain an ongoing knowledge of inventory to assist in controlling pilferage. Report any discrepancies to Management immediately.
9. Carry out assignments as directed by Supervisor and Team Leader in a positive cooperative manner. Assist and train in other areas as needed
10. Complies with hospital and departmental polices and safety regulations.
11. Understand and support the policy of working various shifts as needed according to the schedule and Assist and train in other areas as needed.
12. Attends Department and Area meetings as scheduled.
