Williamson Medical Center is hiring a Nurse Practitioner/Physician's Assistant with Acute Care or Hospitalist experience in Franklin, TN.

Position Requirements

Formal Education / Training and requirements of the job:

 

 

Currently licensed by the State of Tennessee as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant 

Current ACLS Certification.

Participates in rotation for admitting, rounding on, and discharging hospital patients, including those in the emergency Department, Critical Care Units, and on the floors.

Participates in managing calls related to currently admitted patients. 

Participates in running Rapid Responses and Codes for hospitalized patients.

 

 

Workplace Experience:

 

At least one year of hospital experience required.

 

At least one year of intensivist experience preferred.

 

 

 

Equipment and Skills Training:

 

Standard patient care equipment for services provided.  The ability to work well under pressure, to function dependently and independently within scope of training, and to be flexible in applying medical knowledge to a variety of situations. General equipment to area and Network computer system, Meditech Expanse computer system.

 

 

 

Physical Environment:

 

Hospital, including ICUs, floors, and ED.

 

 

 

Physical Effort:

 

1.  Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly.

 

2.  Able to stand/sit/work for up to eight hours a day.

 

3.  Able to lift/move up to 25 lbs.

 

 

 

KEY RESULTS

Responsible for the assessment, evaluation and clinical management of patients, in conjunction with supervising physician.   Efficiently administers these clinical services in order to provide the level of care required by current clinical standards.

 

Works collaboratively with all other healthcare professionals to determine the best care plan for the hospitalized patient and initiates/oversees plans to meet the patient’s needs.

 

Facilitates timely admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.

 

Provides information, education, and support to patient and the patient’s family members.  Includes the patient and their family in care planning.
