Job Summary
This position provides clinical and administrative support to all staff and assists Physician Practice Manager in all aspects of the physician practices.
Formal Education/Training:
Degree of LPN; current TN LPN Licensure
Workplace Experience:
At least three years of experience in medical office setting. Demonstrate leadership, managerial ability and good interpersonal skills.
Equipment and Skills Training:
Must be competent in the use Glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, stethoscope, business phone and various oral and injectable medications. Strong computer skills and communication required. Demonstrate ability to self-direct, meet deadlines and support Physician Practice.
Physical Environment:
Physician and Clinical setting/environment.
Physical Effort:
Must be able to sit, stand and communicate in English both orally and in writing. Lift over 20 pounds.
Performance Standards:
1. Accurately records patient’s medical history and vital signs.
2. Gives patients immunizations and injections as appropriate.
3. Counsels patients on health related issues.
4. Orders and maintains clinical supplies.
5. Secures consultations and specialists
6. Triages phone calls
7. Assists physician with med / surg procedures
8. Assists Physician Practice Manager with day to day operations within the practice
9. Assists with the orientation and training of new personnel
10.Acts as liaison to support clinical staff, promote patient safety and ensure quality care
11.Maintains compliance of office equipment
12.Responds to patient complaints in a timely manner
13.Reports completely and accurately any incident that may warrant review of director/manager
